MARINA reaches out to seafarers onboard for Nat’l Maritime Week

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) is inviting not only the traditional industry stakeholders but also as many seafarers onboard as possible to join in the activities in the coming National Maritime Week (NMW) 2020.

In a virtual press briefing yesterday, Engr. Ramon Hernandez, director of the Shipyard Regulation Service of MARINA, presented the various activities during the NMW  which starts on Monday, September 21 to Sunday September 27, 2020.

This is only the first time seafarers onboard will have the opportunity to participate in NMW activities since most of the events are  via zoom or live streaming.

“We will have a wider audience; even those in far flung areas of the country and overseas can join the celebration,” Engr. Hernandez said.

“This is open to all from Batanes to Tawi-tawi as long as they have access to internet they can join especially the maritime industry symposium,”

The Zoom ID for Sept.22 (Wednesday) symposium is 868 4539 4416; for Sept. 24 (Thursday), the Zoom ID is 812 4743 9416; and for Sept. 25 (Friday), 845 5982 8170.  All of them have only one Pass Code:  MaritimePh
